Netflix is testing the removal of their $10 a month basic tier subscription. Now their cheapest plan will be with ads for $7 a month . The ad-free standard tier plan will go up to $15.50 a month.
The Movie streaming company announced that Canadian users will no longer have access to its cheapest streaming subscription tier that doesn’t include ads. Netflix’s help page indicates the following options for Canadians , you either get the ads plan or the ads free plan . The new pricing is being tested in foreign countries. It will roll out in the US market soon , making it the new reality for Netflix users.

As you can recall , Netflix has been cracking down password sharing for the last few months. Now, this new price change is an additional challenge for their users. After a surge in customers, as a backdrop of the 2020 restrictions that left people watching movies all day, they are increasing their monthly subscription price.
